Sunday Scrap page: Travelling

Over the next couple of days, I will share my vacation diary with you.
Our trip was by car from our home in The Netherlands to
severalplaces in Ubria and Tuscany, Italy.
I chose to use a square book I still had lying around of
9 x 9 inch with great thick white paper.

Here you see the spread of the first two days of our trip.
Day 1:
You will notice me using Michael Strong stamps (tulip,
coffee cup on this page) and Club Scrap stamps
(mini car, road trip and arrows). But also some of
the handy Project Life cards for journaling and
I love to do some doodling too.

I made the tulip in Italian colors (red,withe.green).
First stamping and embossing the tulip in white
and then adding the colors with a blending tool.

Well you all know my favourite: the coffee cup
and as we have several coffee breaks a day, while driving,
you will see more of this stamp.

Day 2:
The photo collage you see on each page are  the collages
I shared each day on Facebook with a wonderful app on my ipad called
LiPix and is a free photo collage app you can download from the app-store.
I have printed it out with my Canon Selphy.

For this page I use one of Michael Strong's paisley stamps
embossed in blue.

Hope you like seeing the pages about my trip
and come back to see more!

Have a creative day!

Saturday Sketch: Italian Coffee

Good Motning to you all!
Have you missed me?

Well I have missed my craft room and I am glad to be
back after a fantastic vacation in Tuscany,Italy.
You will notice that my card today and my scrap pages
will have that as a theme for the next couple of days.

So for today I used the Italian colors for
the MS May/June sketch card. Here you see
the sketch that I used:

You know how it is when you come back from vacation
you have tons of email and one stuck out:
the one from the Coffee Loving Cardmakers.

There will be another Summer hop and you all know
how I love tomake coffee cards,so I had to make
this one:
Italian Coffee!
Fun recipe can be found here:

So I stamped Michael Strong's large coffee cup stamp
with versamark and embossed it with red embossing powder.
Inside the lines I colored with 2 colors of gree pencil.

The sentiment: Buongiorno (Italian for good morning)
is written by hand with a red marker and unched out with this
word window SU! punch.
I also decorated the inside with a stamped cup
and a sentiment about coffee.
Of course we had our coffee breaks while spending
wonderful days driving and being the tourist.
Such wonderful coffees and great pastry. Yum!

Thanks for stopping by.
Ciao!

Have a creative day!

Sunday Scrap Page: Happy Mother

to all Moms and Mom's to be!

My scrapbook page today is about my daughter.
She is the mom of my adorable grandson and expecting
2 more end of June.Last Sunday we had a surprise babyshower
organized for her. I used  a pocket page to scrap about it.

The background papers are Project Life baby papers
and make scrapbooking absolutely too easy!

Of course I had to add some Michael Strong elements.

The stamps used on this part are from Stampin'Up!

The 2B emblemi designed for this babyshower.
I firts printed the 2B with the computer and stamped
the baby inside the B. Then scanned the image and now
I can use it any size I want.

Here I used  Michael Strong's alphabet stamps.

These potcovers are also designed for this special occasion.

Thanks for looking.
Have a creative day!

Tim Holtz tag for May: Coffee!!

This month I want to be in time to post my
tag for the 12 tags of 2012 on

You find the original tag and technique
tutorial HERE.

When I was sitting at my desk and thinking of what
to make I found these items on my desk. Ha, you say:
of course there was a coffee cup on he desk!
I could not resist making another coffee tag.
The coffee cup is by Michael Strong.

I started with Tim Holtz coffee ring stencil
for the background.I added the texture paste and
went shopping, to let the past dry.

When I came back it was dry and with some
stamping ink and distress paint I colored the coffee rings.

Now look what else i have here and there on my desk.
You think I can use this for the tag? Coffee rings (Club Scrap),
rosette (Tim Holtz die), coffeebean embossed papers, woodsie
and buttons. Look below how i shifted and added the elements
on the tag. I used hot glue to fasten some of the elements
to the burlap background.
So I added the picture of the couple into the coffee cup.
The circle tands for a coockie with the coffee.
the sentiment created "2 love coffee"  with the number,
the ticket and the woodsie, can have 2 meanings
and I like it that way.Pick your choice.

At the bottom the rosette takes the place of the flowers
you see on Tim's tag and I added a little silver spoon
in the place of the buttons.
 Yeah, another coffee inspirated project.

Thanks for looking.

Have a creative day!

Sunday scrap page: Keukenhof

A week ago I went to The Keukenhof with an American friend.
The Keukenhof is a park, that only is open during Spring
and shows you beautiful Spring flowers.
You can read about it HERE.

I made many pictures, all these flowers were so beautiful
and colorful. Tulips, hyacints, daffodils and more.

This is just a little impression!
So I wanted to make a colorful page
and that April technique by Tim Holtz is just
perfect to use. Here I show you how I did this:
I started with a piece of watercolor paper 10,5"x 10,5"
with archival ink.
Then I also added the small cloissoné flower.
Then I sprayed the paper with water and took some
distress stains. Put some drops on the craft sheet and
add a little water. Use a thin paint brush to splatter
the ink on your paper.
Start with one color and then add more.
This is how it looks when you added the splatters.
With the same distress stains and water the flowers
are colored and leave everything to dry.
When all is drie I added these leaves, a stamp from
Club Scrap Botanicals kit.
To add the flower background to the 12"x12"cardstock
(also Club Scrap Botanicals) I used the sewing machine.

Here you see I also used the sewing machine to
fasten the pictures to the background.
This time i used a zigzag stitch.

The sentiment is a cut apart from the Botanical kit
as well as the wooden bird. The bird is colored with
a brown and yellow inkpad.

This is an impression of the Keukenhof.

Thank you for looking.
Have a creative day!
