May tag Tim Holtz

As I am with my arm in a sling

a tag done this month, so I like to submit my
Mother's Day tag for this month.
I cannot wait to try the flowers in
my melting pot. It looks absolutely beautiful.
Thank you
Tim for the fabulous idea.

Yeah, my graduation apron arrived this week.
It will stay clean for a while.
Hope it will not be to far away befote I can use it.

Have a creative day!

No stampin and scapping

Hello everyone,

I have some sad news. I have brokken my
upper left arm yesterday and no I  cannot
stamp or scrap for a while.
Here are some pictures from the hospital.
As my arm is broken just under the shoulder,
they cannot use plaster, but I have to keep my
arm in a sling.

You may wonder what happened:
I wanted to step of a boat and got tangled in the ropes.
Someone helped me off and this way my arm got twisted
and I heard the snap of the bone breaking.

Hopefully it will not take too long,
but in the meantime I will enjoy looking
at everyone elses artwork and
be inspired to write down my own ideas.

Have a creative day!

String Art

This month it is all about strings
in the Technique Challenge
at the Club Scrap forum.

Every month I choose a technique to explore for a month.
This month I was inspired by Kay Williamson's
blog with her String Art boat
and wonderful technique explanation
For my samples I used some of the Club Scrap
wooden stamps from a older kit called Rhapsody.
Perfect for punching holes and using some string
to make art.

For this one i used a circle of holes to embroider
some string in and out of the card and punched out some
butterflies on top.

Here another card with a little more bling bling.
This time I used a stamp from
the Gratitude kit.
The embroidery thread I used is a lot thinner
than on the first card. It is a kind of silvery blue.
Adding some beads to the string gives a wonderful
elegant look to the card. In the heart a brad with a gemstone.
This is the other corner ad the card with a kind
of spirograph way of adding my thread. I remember
doing this with a pen and some cirles when I was young.

Hope you give this technique a try too!
Have a creative day!

Scrapping Mother's Day

Here is my scrappage about Mothers Day.
It is made with the new Club Scrap kit
"Wild Flowers
which is absolutely beautiful
and so right for scrapping about the mom's.
Here are some of the details of the page.
The flower is the mini cloiconné flower
Some cross stitches with baker's twine.
I make this page for the ongoing challenge
of Weekly Chronicles at the Club Scrap forum.
The letters are done with the cloisonné alphabet
stamps by Michael Strong.

Happy Mother's Day!

I typed "subway art mother" in google
and found all these nice projects,
that are just wonderful to print and frame
or use on a card.

Hope you are all wonderfully spoiled by your children!

 And for my daughter:

you just have to wait for the next Mother's Day!

Mother's Day inspiration

Here is some Mothers Day inspiration.
First I share with you a tag I made
with dies of the ideology line by Tim Holtz.
The background is embossed with a sizzix folder
that I painted with vintage photo distress stain before
embossing. Than I also added some new distress inked
squeezed lemonade and copper perfect pearl mist.

I cut the body with sewing sewing room,
embossed it, added some versamark and
sprinkled a little white embossing poder on it
and used my heat gun.

The body is decorated with a Michael Strong
mini cloisonné flower embossed in cold and
a button from the sewing room die.
Also I cut scissor and button with sizzix sewing edge
out of grunge board. Colored the scissor with
weathered wood distress stain and rock candy
stickles on top. Fastend it with a brad on the tag.

Banners decorated with a printed sentiment and
stapled to the tag.
All completed with ribbons on top and
a cute little wooden spool and asewing
machine charm.

Here is an  another card. This can easily be
used as a gift card and is very easy to make.
I found this as a free printable card here:

If you go for easy and quick,
you follow the instructions on the link above
and you have a quick card.

I had to make it a little more personal and
After cutting out the card, you have 4 corners left of
the backside paper and this is perfect to stamp
the 4 flowers.
I ambossed them in white, gold, copper and black.
The heart is a gemstone,
Here you see the inside of the card and
also here the flower stamp is used. With vintage photo
I distressed the border of the card and stamped
the flower all around.
This is the backside of the card.

Hope all your Mom's have a wonderful day!
