Cupcake

This card I made for a new challange I found at
The have started a progressive challenge, where
you get some free images to play with.
You need to make at least one card.
The challenge is for a month and I only just
found it, so here is my one card.

For my card I used a digistamp by Digistamps4joy
which is the chef, who baked a delicious cake,
The chef is colored with copic markers and the cake is glazed with
glossy accent.
The sentiment is by Create with TLC
and the cupcake is a punch by Stampin'Up!.
The scrap paper in the background is by BasicGrey.

Sympathy Card

Sometimes you need to make a sympathy card
to say goodbye to a loved person.
This time it is for someone from our boatclub,
so I choose to use the Lighthouse set from Stampin Up!
In the background you see also other SU! stamps:
the big background stamp called Cheesecloth
and a stamp from The Open Sea set.

The Dutch sentiment means: with sympathy.

I stamped the with brown ink to give the card a little vintage
atmosphere and only used a little color with pencil.
The flag on top of the lighthouse are the colors of our
boatclub. The sunrays in the back is done with the
ATC-size cuttlebug folder from Tim Holtz Aterations
and I colored it with mustered seed distress ink.

On the seagull I added a drop of glossy accent.

First Annual Dudeville Hollow Scavenger Crawl

Today is the day!
Dude Time Doodles 1st birthday!!
and we have a fun game for you to play:
a scavenger crawl.

To begin and to find all the instructions and clues of what to do,
please visit the Dude Time Doodles Challenge blog.
You need to hop around the team although there is no specific starting point or end point,
you just need to make sure that you've visited us all on the way.
Leave a comment on each of our posts as some of us have candy on offer!

This crawl will work like a blog hop and a scavenger hunt.
Each person along the Scavenger Crawl will have one item from the scavenger hunt.
Each participant will go thru the crawl searching for the items and then have two weeks to email your answers to cmm5569@yahoo.com. One winner will be picked (of a $20 gift certificate from DTD) from the entries and announce it on the DTD challenge blog the evening of September 6th.

And here is my project:
I love playing games and it just hit me that
starting the Dude Time Doddles was like playing a game for Boni,
but she is a winner with the blog and the shop!
Congratulations to Boni
for having a year or wonderful digital images.

I used Gladys Salt for my card and colored her with
copic markers. You may recognize some of the
text that I copied from Boni's blog.

You have arrived here from Crafty Chrissy's blog
and I send you on to the lovely

Happy Hunting
and have a creative day!

tutorial in yesterdays post.

Resist technique

Vandaag heb ik een klein lesje voor jullie.
Een van de vele - maar wel so makkelijke - resist technieken.
Voor deze heb je nodig:
clear embossing poeder
een clear embossing inktkussen
heatgun
en distress inkt of stain
keukenpapier of babydoekje
ja....en natuurlijk papier en stemples!

Today I have a little tutorial for you.
One of the many - but easy - resist techniques.
This is what you need:
clear embossing powder
clear emboss inkpad
heatgun
distress ink or stain
paper towel or baby wipe
yes and of course your papers and stamps.
1. stempel met clear embossing inkt op je papier
en emboss dit met clear embossing poeder.

1. stamp with clear embossing ink on your paper
and sprinkle clear embossing powder on top and
use your heat gun.

2. Cover your card with your choice of ink.
Do you like to get those spots, spritz with water.
When everything is dry, vlean the card with paper towel
or baby wipe to get the ink of the embossed areas.
Now you have a wonderful background for a card
or a tag.

Supplies
Tag cut with Tim Holtz sizzix die
bamboo and lady stamp unknown UM
Cranes and sentiment by Michael Strong
Distress stain and inks by Ranger
pearls and ribbon from stash
